HC-157 is a 30% actives amphoteric fluorosurfactant, which can significantly reduce the surface tension of aqueous solutions. HC-157 enables the formation of an aqueous film that is distributed over the entire surface of the hydrocarbon.
HC-157 has higher actives than Capstone 1157.
Applications
HC-157 is a film-forming fluorinated surfactant used in aqueous film-forming foam (AFFF), film-forming fluoroprotein foam(FFFP), and alcohol-resistant foams(AFFF-AR/FFFP-AR) against hydrocarbons and polar liquid fires. It is fully compatible with anionic, cationic, amphoteric and nonionic hydrocarbon or fluoro chemical surfactants. And the fluorine surfactant is C6 product based on the telomerization method. HC-157 is not derived from PFOS (Perfluorooctyl Sulfonate) or from PFOA (Perfluorooctanoic Acid). HC-157 does not degrade into PFOS or PFOA.

| Storage Stability: | HC-157 should be stored at temperatures above 0℃. If frozen or a solid phase separates out of the product, warm the product to roomtemperature and mix it well before use. Freezing and thawing will not affect the properties of the product or its performance. |
Product Safety:
HC-157, a C6 fluorotelomer surfactant, cannot degrade into PFOS or PFOA.
HC-157 is not an irritant on skin.
It is a minimal irritant on eyes.
Precautions and First Aid:
HC-157 should be handled with good industrial precautions. Safety goggles and rubber gloves, as well as protective clothing suitable to avoid skin contact should be worn. In case of contact with eyes, flush eyes with plenty of water and consult a physician. In case of skin contact, wash skin with plenty of water and soap.
